I am interested in how the private sector contributes to processes of socio-economic development and in the interaction between business and society. At present I am involved in three research projects:

1. Industrial clusters and network dynamics: how do networks change over time in industrial clusters? What are the implications for development, policy and practice?

  • 2. Technology-driven Foreign Direct Investment (TFDI) from Emerging Economies: what are the drivers and consequences of TFDI and what are the implications for the negotiation of International Investment Agreements?

    3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Human Rights Impacts : does CSR adoption reduce corporate involvement in human rights abuses? How do corporations from BRIC countries differ from those having headquarters in advanced countries?
